Happy Monday!!

Sorry I have been a little MIA recently, but I was feeling under the weather all last week and this weekend was pretty busy visiting with friends. 

This is a little of what my weekend consisted of.....

Saturday I volunteered at work for Read Across America. It was so great giving back to the community and reading to those kids. 

Of course I had to get in the Dr. Seuss spirit and wear my socks (:

Saturday night we went to Flying Saucer again after being there the night before as well. haha (I didn't take any pictures there unfortunately) 


Sunday we went to dinner with our friends that just moved back to Houston and had this little cutie! 
I was so excited to meet baby Pennie!! She has the most beautiful blue eyes and definitely made my ovaries hurt. 


Larry was doing so good with her, and even made sure his hands were clean before we sat down and he touched her. I think he would make a great dad someday. Don't you think?

We also went grocery shopping on Saturday and guess who was standing by the entrance? Yup, you guessed Girl Scouts! I was so glad I was finally able to get my fixing!! haha

Weekend Recap

Where did this weekend go? It went by too quick for me. 

This weekend my dad and sister came to visit L and I here in Houston. My dad loves to go out and eat and have some a lot of alcoholic beverages. I just LOVE when they come to visit us. It's always so hard to go back home, and besides we are from San Antonio and I feel there to do.

I'm linking up with Savanah and Ashlee for Phone Photo Fun. This is pretty much what my weekend consisted up, oh and work of course.

We had dinner at Twin Peaks. Our appetizers consisted of BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos and Mozzarella sticks. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and it was Delicious!! They also serve season steak fries which are also pretty amazing as well. If you have not been here, I would suggest this place if you are looking for a cold beer and some comfort food.

             

After, we then headed to Dave and Busters since my sister wanted to do "something fun"! haha

We started playing a game called "Gone Fishing". It's a very easy way to get tickets. I got 500 tickets after trying 4 times, and then I tried again and got another 500 tickets. We ended up with 4,600 tickets my the end of the night. 

I got to enjoy a Sangria and we also got some prizes with our tickets. My sister got a huge Hello Kitty. They had some Aggie merchandise so of course I had to get it!! (:

Phone Photo Fun

It's Monday, I was suppose to work this weekend but I woke up with a very red and itchy eye on Saturday morning and ended up getting sent home early. I had such a hard time driving, the light bothered me so bad. Turns out, I have a bacterial infection in my eye. I feel asleep in my contacts Friday night after going out with L's co-workers and woke up in the middle of the night to take them out. Guess, I learned my lesson.

Thursday I was off, and met one of my friends at Red Mango then we went to Sweets. I picked up some yummy cupcakes to take home

 After leaving Sweets, I then headed to the salon for a much needed haircut. The last time I cut my hair was in July, which was very long ago.

The guys from L's work bought him this Texans money bank

They gave this to him as a going away gift since he is moving on to another position. They also wrapped his gloves and hat that he threw away on his last day. It was the funniest thing. (I didn't get a picture of that, but I will be putting it in a shadow box since the story behind it is pretty funny!)

On Saturday night, my sister texted me with some bad news. My great aunt was in the hospital after suffering from a heart-attack. Later, that night I found out she got her wings. This is such a sad time for my family. My great-grandma is taking the loss of her daughter-in-law extremely hard. 

My great uncle and aunt have been separated for years, but she lived across the street from my great-grandma and would always visit her and make sure she was doing fine. Please keep my family in your prayers, especially my great-grandma. She is sick as well, and this news isn't helping her health as well.
