Baby Update + Recently

Hello everyone!! Hope you had a great weekend. Of course this was my weekend to work, but all in all it was not that bad.

Here are a couple of pictures to show what last week consisted of:

We started taking baby bump pictures at 6 weeks and are continuing to take them. Here is the belly progress.

I think I was a little full during week 8, lol I look a little bigger there!
We had our 10 week appointment on the 13th and let me just tell you this baby put a big smile on my face first thing in the morning. When the doctor started the sonogram, Baby B was kicking his/her little legs and moving his/her arms around. It was so exciting to see how this little one is progressing, I was one happy momma when I let the Dr's office after seeing my little one moving around.

Later that day, the weather started getting ugly but we had free tickets to the Astros game. R and I went to the game with his sister and niece. This preggo, right here was one happy person after eating some ballpark food!!
R enjoying some cotton candy and some lemonade!!
He puts a smile on my face!!

I signed up for a maternity program through my health insurance and received a free book in the mail!! Whats better than pumpkin candles burning and reading about Baby B's growth??

Hope your had a great weekend!
Did you do anything fun this past week/weekend?

I'm back....

Happy Tuesday ladies!!

It has been a really long time since I have blogged and I feel so lost. Life has been pretty crazy. Work has been stressing me out just a little on top of dealing with some issues of my own.

Here are some pictures to catch you up on what has been going on these past couple of weeks.

I recently decided to join Scentsy as a way to make some extra money! If you need anything let me know!! :)

I put my boots on and headed to the rodeo

I was so excited I got to finally go to the Houston Rodeo to see Jason Aldean

Rodeo getting started

We celebrated a friends birthday on St. Patrick's Day at Flying Saucer

This seriously tasted like green apples and is my new favorite from Flying Saucer

We walked down to The Sweet Boutique in Sugar land to get some cupcakes on St. Patrick's Day

Pink Champagne Cupcake

I bought these cookies for the first time and I must say they are my new favorite cookies!

I got in an accident on March 13 and made a visit to the ER to get checked out
I sprained my wrist and has neck and back muscle spasms and still trying to recover. I'm still sore and it bothers me to turn my neck when backing out of parking spaces.

Ugh, I just hate dealing with accident stuff! Well, who does right?

My favorite coffee mug got hurt in the accident as well. I didn't realize it till I was putting it away in the cabinet. :(

This past Saturday, I went and took a trip to Conroe with some friends and rode a Jetski. I must say, I needed this type of relaxation. It was so peaceful to put all the craziness behind and get on the water and enjoy a beautiful day.

Sunday I went to lunch with some wonderful Houston Bloggers
and treated myself to a much needed Strawberry Margarita and Tortilla Soup

You all know I have been a little MIA recently from blogging. Well that is because my Sony Laptop needed to be taken in to Geek Squad to fix the HDMI output and LCD. Turns out it was approved for an exchange. I used to have a Mac before my PC and missed it so much, I took the plunge and purchased a MacBook Pro.

I love it!! I'm so glad to have a laptop back, now I can get back to blogging!! YAY :)

I'm so glad to finally have a laptop again. I missed blogging as well as I missed hearing from all you lovely readers.

What kind of computer do you use to blog? If something happened to your computer, would you still be able to blog daily?

He makes me happy

because he.....

---> has always been by my side and supported me when I felt like giving up
---> was there to comfort me when I lost my great-grandfather
---> is willing to make sacrifices in order to see me succeed and be happy
---> loves me for who I am and doesn't care about my imperfections
---> is always encouraging me to be better at all that I do
---> knows when to turn the Xbox off and spend time together
---> cooks and cleans every now and then, so I could rest after a day at work
---> has taught me to be more financially responsible
---> is always willing to hear me vent even when he is at a loss for words
---> knows how emotional I get and already knows what to expect when I have had a rough day
---> can always keep secrets and knows how to surprise me
---> loves me with no makeup and my messy house clothes
---> is willing to be my test taster when I'm experimenting in the kitchen
---> he is my rock and backbone, without him I don't know where I would be today
---> is himself, and has always been the same person I met 8 1/2 years ago (well longer if you count Pre-K through now)

Last night, I had dinner started before L got home from work. While cooking, I told him we should have a movie night. So we got online and reserved a movie on Redbox. Dinner was almost ready, so he gets in the truck to go pick up the movie and comes home with some of my favorite wine, Moscato. He knew dinner, wine and a movie would make this girl one happy person.

After the movie, I started thinking about some of the things that L has done to make me happy. I'm sure I have probably missed some, but what I listed above are what immediately came to mind.

We have been together for 8 1/2 years, and he still can put a smile on my face when I'm feeling down.
What makes you happy about your significant other?

Our Story Part 1

Happy Thursday y'all!!
I thought I would share a little something about L and I.

Did you know that L and I have actually known each other since Pre-K?! Isn't this insane!

Of course we were little and didn’t understand but when L and I first started dating his sister shared his “little love story”. L’s sister told me that when he would get home he would always talk about me and say my name, isn't this cute. We were also both part of a Pop Warner league, he played football and  I was the cheerleader. I never knew this until I mentioned it one time to L and showed him a group picture.

I vaguely remember L in Pre-K but we were in the same 1st grade class. When I was younger, I used to have long hair. It just so happened that our first grade teacher had a son the same time my mom had my little sister. My little sister was having her birthday at a pizza place and I noticed my first grade teacher was there. She mentioned that my little sister was in the same class as her son. She asked me questions about how high school was going and what my future plans were.

As we were sitting there, she asked if I was dating anyone. I told her L’s full name and she looked at me and asked me to repeat it. She then, repeated the name again and said “No way! I remember L used to chase you around the class and pull you hair”. She mentioned that I would get so frustrated with him when he would constantly do that. I thought this was the funniest thing. I don’t remember him doing this, but when I mentioned it to L he laughed and had a little smirk on his face.

Unfortunately, I moved after 1st grade and ended up coming back to the same elementary for 4th and 5th grade. We would call each other every now and then, but of course we were young and having a boyfriend/girlfriend was the last thing on our mind. After 5th grade, we both ended up going to different middle schools in the same school district. Even though we would end up at different schools, we both would pick up the phone and talk here and there.

I remember I would call L in middle school, and he would always be outside playing basketball. He would always talk to his friends but keep me on the phone. ha He was very silly, well he actually still is. We went through middle school calling each other every now and then. He likes to say that I always called him. haha  Eventually, middle school was coming to and end. We were about to be going to high school, I wasn't sure that we would ever see each other again.

To Be Continued Soon......
