A Mother's Love

On Wednesday I saw Baby Girl kick for the first time and it melted my heart. I was listening to her heartbeat before work and she started kicking right after I turned off the Doppler. It just brought tears to my eyes, feeling her kick. No words can describe how I felt when she did that.

Baby Girl: You have so much love already its Amazing! Feeling you move around and kicking just makes me love you more and more each day. My love for you is so strong, and I have a close bond with you and your not even here yet!! Not a day goes by when I don't think of you. You and your daddy are always on my mind. I'm always wondering who your going to look like. Will you have my nose? Daddy's eyes? Who will you take after? So much runs through my head and I'm so excited for your arrival in April. I look forward to the baby showers and continued shopping mommy and daddy are doing. I love you sweet baby girl with all my heart!!

R: I love you with all my heart and I'm so excited to be going through this journey of parenthood with you!! I'm so happy that you get to share these exciting times with me. You have been a great support system and I wouldn't want anyone else by my side. I know I might get fussy sometimes and bite your head off, but I don't mean it at all. These hormones can be crazy at times. I'm so happy that our little girl is going to have such a caring, loving, and respectful father. She is going to be wrapped around your finger!! I love you with all my heart and I can't wait till our little one is here!!

How was your reaction when you saw your baby kick for the first time?

What's your guess???

We find out tomorrow if our sweet love is a boy or girl!! Hopefully baby cooperates with us. I have an appointment with my OB at 8:30 and then go for the anatomy scan at 10:30. I'm so excited, and can't wait till we find!! I'm ready to start shopping for our little one. We invited our parents to join for the ultrasound, but my parents both have to work and will not be able to take off due to their jobs. :( R's mom is also going to be there with us so I will keep you posted.

What's your guess??

Heart-to-Heart vs. Sonoline B Fetal Doppler Review

Happy Tuesday!!!

I have been wanting to purchase a fetal doppler to listen to Baby B's heartbeat for a while now. I must say that I'm a big worry bug and want to make sure Baby B is doing ok. I haven't felt any movement yet, and always freak out.

So we went to Baby's R Us and purchased the Summer Heart-to-Heart.
I found this monitor to be a waste of money and will be returning it soon. It is recommend  for the third trimester, but I figured why not give it a try.
You hear so much muffled noise and it is not worth the $30 in my opinion. Especially if you want to be able to hear the heartbeat before the third trimester.

After doing some more research, I stumbled across a forum on Baby Center. There were quite a few mom or moms to be that had talked highly of the Sonoline B Fetal Doppler. Right away, I jumped online and went to Fetaldoppler.net I ordered the doppler on a Thursday afternoon and received it that Saturday morning. This device is so awesome. I'm 17 weeks and 5 days and could hear Baby B's heartbeat as if we were at the doctors office. It come with a small tube of gel and batteries so you can get started using it right away. I'm already running out of gel, and have read and found that Aloe Vera gel works just as fine. I highly recommend this fetal doppler to mommy's to be!! It's so amazing getting to hear Baby B's heartbeat anytime we want.

What a beautiful sound in the comfort of our home!

Do you have a fetal doppler? What do you think of it?

This review is my own opinion, I was not paid to review these products.

Baby B is growing each day. I can't wait till our next appointment. We have an appointment with the OB and then head straight over for the anatomy scan! :)

How far along? 16 weeks
Total weight gain:  4 lbs. as far as I’m aware
Maternity clothes? I haven’t shopped for more maternity clothes, but I did shop for maternity bras and man are they much more comfortable.
Stretch marks? No new ones have made an appearance
Sleep: Ever since R bought me the Boppy Cuddle Pillow, I have been sleeping much better. I just wake up once in the middle of the night to use the ladies room.
Best moment this week: Seeing the baby bump grow and guest/coworkers asking when I’m due.
Miss Anything? Nope
Movement:  I haven’t felt any movement yet. I’m a big worry bug and start freaking out but I know everyone is different and I should start feeling Baby B soon.
Food cravings:  Still Fruit, Fruit, and more Fruit!! Oh, and Sweets
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Coffee at work is still making me nauseous.
Gender: We will find out on November 8th I’m counting down the days till we finally get to see if Baby B is a boy or girl! I’m ready to shop!!
Labor Signs:  No labor signs for a long while
Symptoms: My nose have been congested lately,  but other than that I have been feel fine.
Belly Button in or out? Still an innie
Wedding Aggie ring on or off?  Aggie Ring still fits
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and nervous. I’m always scared that something is going to happen, especially since I haven’t felt any movement.
Looking forward to: Our appointment on November 8th. We have one with the OB at 8:30 and then go for out anatomy scan at 10:30!! I’m so excited to find out if Baby B is a boy or girl! We invited R’s mom and my parents to go along with us and find out. I can’t wait to see Baby B!!

Thoughts:

Since I have been freaking out about no movements yet. I read on some Baby Center forums about a Fetal Doppler. We went out to by one recently and couldn’t hear anything since it was recommended for the 3rd trimester. I just ordered one online similar to the one they use at the OB. I can’t wait till it arrives.  I will be posting a review soon.
